How do I add additional database types to Actuate BIRT Report Designer Professional so they appear in the Type dropdown selector in the New Data Connection Definition dialog?
I am trying using the Information Object Design perspective. When there is a report open, the Data Explorer view is available and adding a new data source there is easy, using mysql or hsql drivers. But, under the IO Design perspective I can't add a new data source, just the option for Data Connection Definition which does not give me options for HSQL or MySQL.
There are currently types for DB2, Informix, Oracle, SQLServer, etc. but I need ones for MySQL and Hypersonic. Is there a folder to drop the JDBC driver jars into?
I've tried placing them into BRDPro\eclipse\plugins\com.actuate.data.oda.jdbc.drivers_2.3.2.v20100416\lib and BRDPro\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_2.3.2.v20100115-1545\drivers but they don't show up in the Types dropdown.
